Richmond is one of my very first suburbs I ever visited when I first moved to Melbourne. There is always something about this neighbourhood that keeps me coming back. I have been to Richmond a countless of times, and have always found something new and fascinating to discover every time.
After spending a few years exploring Victoria, Swan, Bridge, Church and pretty much all its main streets, it just didn't feel like it was over. So I just kept returning to this handsome neighbourhood to see what else it has to offer. It wasn't too long until I realised that the best secrets of Richmond are hidden within its little side streets. This was when my never-ending visit to Richmond begins.
The following photographic series is a collection of photographs that were taken during my many walks in Richmond. Not only it displays how I love to travel and what I'm keen to photograph, but does it also represent the true essence of locality, history and time. Melbourne is definitely not just about the city streets and the known tourist attractions. Why not take a local tram out of the city, and explore what else Melbourne really has to offer.
